Man asks to a policeman for punishment of suicide

Nilesh Bedekar, 39, a resident of Goregaon in Mumbai tweeted to Mumbai Police about punishment for committing suicide, if he doesn't die. He tweeted, "I am thinking of committing suicide. I just want to know what would be the punishment for the same, if I am not dead. I tried google and Wiki but didn't get anything so asking you.'

Mumbai police constable Sameer Salve who was on duty for handling Mumbai Police's Twitter account immediately responded to the tweet with consoling words and requested him to allow the police to intervene and provide him the necessary assistance. During their tweets, they found out his contact details. Police swung on the action and went to his location. After meeting and counseling him, the police took Bedekar to the hospital nearby for checking up his mental health.

During the counseling, Bedekar burst out and talked about his domestic problems. The counseller understood the seriousness of the matter and shared some consoling words about life and its importance. Bedekar thanked Mumbai Police by saying sorry for having suicidal thoughts and thanked for changing his thoughts towards life.
