A few months back, I lost my keys, thanks to me for being hasty sometimes. I looked possibly everywhere, but then, they were nowhere to be found (well, I eventually found them behind the wooden chest). I really wish I could use some technology to sense the keys as it happens quite off and on to me. Well, I am sure almost everyone has such bad days sometimes.

Since we live in the world of possibilities, our fingers are so adapted to virtual helpers or touch screen technology, for even small tasks like turning on/off the lights;  we use Siri, Alexa, or just regular remote. Our minds are so attuned to the touch-screen that we zoom immediately to get a closer look at the content of the screen. My funny bones tickle when my fingers try to do the same with the hard copies of old pictures. We all will say YES to more advanced technologies that will make our lives easy or I should say more dependent. 

AirTag & Find My app

Apple made it possible for finding our iPhones, iPods, iPads, Apple Watches, even friends just with the Find My app. And, now lose your knack for losing your belongings too. Surprised! Yes? Well, you read it right, Apple has come with a new product called AirTag/s that can be attached to the smallest valuables like keys, wallets, bags, etc that way they're also on your radar in the Find My app. 

Like I said, keys can hide anywhere--you can't think of-- behind the chest-drawer, under the couch...with AirTag it's not a big deal. AirTag sets out to make your life easy, no more tests of your aptness for losing things. You can play sound on the built-in speaker by using the Find My app or say 'Hey Siri, find my keys' and follow the sound. It is that simple.

Exactitude Compatibility

AirTag has precise finding compatibility with iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max.  

How it Works

Your AirTag sends out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by the nearby device in the Find My network. These devices send the location of your AirTag to iCloud -- then you can go to the Find My app and see it on a map. The whole process is anonymous and encrypted to protect your privacy.                         

Secured Privacy

Just like other Apple devices, AirTag can be put into Lost Mode. Then, when it is detected by an Apple device in the network, you'll automatically get a notification even on your Apple Watch and you'll know the location. You can also set it so someone can get your contact info by tapping your AirTag with an NFC-capable smartphone--that's the same technology that lets people pay with their phones. Yet, your location data and history are secured, they are never stored on AirTag. Your device that shows the location of AirTag stays anonymous with encrypted location data. So, no one (not even Apple) knows the location of AirTag and the identity of the device you are using to find it.

Warns-off unwanted tracking

In case someone else's AirTag finds its way in your bag or other stuff, your iPhone will warn you about this unwanted travel-mate by sending you an alert. After a while, if you still haven't found it, it will start playing a sound to let you know it's there. These alerts trigger only when AirTag is separated from its owner, so no worries when you go out with a bunch of people having AirTag/s.

One-tap to connect 

Only one-tap set up connects your AirTag instantly with your iPhone or iPad. For that, enter a name for your AirTag, attach it to the item you want to track and you're all set. You can get AirTag push notifications on your Apple Watch too.
