Quick facts about river becomes living entity...

Image
Uttarakhand HC has given its long awaited declaration about  Holy rivers Ganga and   Yamuna . From now they are going to be considered as  Living Entities  and would have all  legal rights  through only a designated person. Before this declaration by HC, only  New Zealand's Whanganui River was  given the same status in the world.                   After the declaration  these rivers are subject to be treated as living and they would have all rights as a human being. The court will allow complaints, regarding these rivers, to be filed in the name of rivers. A bench of justice Rajeev Sharma and justice Alok Singh allowed the director general of Namami Gange project, Uttarakhand chief secretary and advocate general the right to represent the Ganga.            River  Ganga is the 3rd largest   but   dirtiest  river in the world while  Yamuna  is its  largest tributary  and  originates  from  Yamunotri, Uttarakhand.  The Namami Gange is the  Modi&

Fatwa on Singing... what the hell !!

Image
Today I was watching a news channel or more I should say a senseless debate/discussion channel. I am calling them "senseless" because on these channel they don't really debate in a healthy way, like it should be, they actually squabble without listening to each other.            Seven people were debating (including hosts, people from human right/NGOs, a muslim social activist and two higher authorities of muslim community) on Fatwa issued against 16 years old girl, a muslim singer by 46 Muslim Clerics in Assam.   FATWA is a non-binding but an authoritative legal opinion given by a qualified jurist or Mufti on issues pertaining to the Islamic Law or Muslim Law.   They say,"singing, dancing, magic or any kind of entertainment is against Sharia Law. Events like musical show will corrupt next generation and they will face God's indignation."           I was shocked by this news. We are living in modern era where everyone, wit

Mermaids!! Are they real ?!?!

Image
Mermaids, Arn't they so fascinating??                       From my childhood I used to believe that all the characters from literature like  mermaids, snowman, Santa Clause, leprechaun, tooth fairy, griffin, pixie, vampire etc or people with super powers are real. And literally, I used to hope that one day I am going to meet them or see them somewhere. But as I grew up all my delusion got blurred and finally I got the clear answer that they ain't real. They are just imaginary characters, appear in movies and stories.                       As you all have heard of a very old Quote, "History repeats itself". This question is still haunting me through my 8years old daughter. The same question she asked me and  I was in the situation that I could not tell her what I believe. So my answer to her quest was,"If you believe its real then it is real". I believe, it's the best answer I got ,What else I could say.          Here I am talking a
