'Time is Money.'
'The time and the arrow wouldn't come back once they are gone.'

These two old phrases are good enough to understand the importance of time. Making the best utilization of time and avoiding the obliviously used time, is known as time management.

"Time Management" is the process of organizing and planning how to give priorities to the tasks lined up and to divide time between specific activities. Or let's put it this way, good time management requires focus from activities to results, it enables us to work smarter than harder or, in the other words, get more done in less time without much stress. The benefits of having a systematic and strategically perfect routine are incalculable:
  • Great productivity and efficiency
  • A perfect professional attitude that brings up a substantial reputation
  • Less stress
  • More opportunities for advancements
  • Opportunity to achieve important life and career goals
The excuse is always overpowering one's determination by saying that, "I don't have time after a long busy day." It's not the time but the management of the time they are struggling with. Though everyone has 24hrs in a day, yet few people get on the ride of success and keep stirring it to the right path with the key ingredient-Time Management. It improves our ability to work effectively even under pressure and constraint of time because being busy does not mean being effective.

Let's understand it with a very common example; Two people working in the same office, one works for the whole day (sometimes over time) while figuring out how to complete the task and getting no 'me' time or for his loved ones. On the other hand, the second one works only for 3-4hrs to finish the given task, notwithstanding, he is also quite admired among his colleague and friends. Whilst the first one is still struggling to survive but the other one is getting appreciation and perks for his best performance.

Spending a little time learning about time-management techniques will have huge benefits - now and throughout your career. So, here we go to find out a way to be the best at whatever we do. A few simple steps/tips could bring a big change in your working system that would give some ease to you and pump your lifestyle.

Plan your day: Take your first few minutes of the day to plan the rest of the day. Don't begin your day without planning. Those few minutes of planning will definitely save your time and you would end up with maximum utilizing your caliber.

Find your priorities: Prioritizing work is the important key to get things done in time. When things are in line and you know the particular task is not going to be easy to finish in time, take that to the top of the list. Prepare the strategies for that task along with other handy work. The rest of the list could be done simultaneously, that way you save your time and spring up your efficiency.

Decide what result you want for your task: Before planning the strategy of execution, make sure you establish the picture of the result what it should be. The desired result can be your goal to achieve for the day but remember it should be realistic. You can plan your strategies and priorities to be given. When you evaluate the final result but it doesn't satisfy your goal, check on the missing pieces you require to get things done in the right way.

You are busy. Let people know: See your phone and tempt to check your messages? Or, others' profiles/status on social media? In today's life, our great distraction is our handy gadgets, they are good at enticing you promptly. Put your phone in 'Do not disturb mode and keep it away from you during prolific time according to your schedule. Working efficiently is all you require for delivering your best.

Don't let it get you: Things don't seem to be working. They can run over your head but don't let them overpower you and your confidence. Take a deep breath, rethink, be ready with plan B. Prepare yourself for the worse yet no need to wait till the situation/action can't be reverted. When you fail in plan B, have some nerve to leave it and move on.

Time for human interaction: Plunge yourself into some human interactions. A time-out would rejuvenate you and your thought process. A relaxed and contented mind can plow more ideas and turn them into something you have been waiting for hours with an exhausted mind. Being pleased by the people around you make you feel more worthy.

Fling back and follow 5 D's:
Don't work like a horse and haul the workload on your back.
Discuss your project and work strategies with your colleagues, delegate tasks to your partners/employees according to their caliber. Pieces of work that can be delayed, leave them for now and do complete the small set of workload that is assigned to you. Quickly accomplishing the series of small pieces of tasks builds the momentum for larger projects. Tasks that are not important and turning into barriers in completing the endeavor and attaining the final result, delete them from your schedule. These 5D's are the key ingredients to get the best out of you.

Mindfulness: The practice of keeping yourself in the present moment without any judgment is a skill. It brings positivity to the persona of an individual. So having 'me' time is like meditation for your exhausted brain. Give time to your body so take some time out for yoga, dance, biking, hiking, painting, reading whatever makes your inner soul happy. Make a schedule for things you would love to do every day and things you wanna do at least once in your lifetime. Keep giving yourself treats by checking the boxes of the list after accomplishing each target.

Mindfulness. Peace of mind
